The state of Massachusetts gave Springfield Technical Community College more than $1 million to help the college expand its facilities in order to double enrollment in its Mechanical Engineering Technology program this semester. The report notes that a report found the state will need 100,000 workers “trained in precision manufacturing over the next decade just to remain at current levels of output.”
Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) is the only polytechnic community college in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, located in the city of Springfield.
