GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Animal Planet’s reality television show TANKED visits Stiles Machinery this week, as show hosts Wayde King and Brett Raymer of Acrylic Tank Manufacturing are joined by representatives from Stiles and Mercy Health Lacks Cancer. The episode airs Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. Eastern on the Animal Planet network.

The crew from TANKED were in Grand Rapids for a three-day shoot as Wayde and Brett installed a 12-foot acrylic fish tank weighing 7,000 pounds in the downtown lobby of Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center in Grand Rapids, Stiles Machinery’s home town. The fabrication stars also visited Stiles Machinery to shop for new technology. Their Las Vegas plant is a major user of Stiles Machinery equipment.

The tank for the Mercy Health cancer, which holds 700 gallons of water, features a unique bend in the acrylic in the front side and the Grand Rapids skyline etched and lighted in the back.

It was really exciting having them here in Grand Rapids for three days,” says Stiles Machinery marketing manager Chris Dolbow. “I think they really got a good feel for our great community and our mission for helping each other.”

Acrylic Tank Manufacturing builds more than 200 projects a year, some of them enormous, jaw-dropping tanks and aquariums for top celebrities, luxury hotels and casinos, Fortune 500 businesses, private homes and millionaire homeowners across the country. Tanks ranged from 50 to one million gallons in size.
