AWFS® is pleased to announce the addition of two new board members. Dan Pickett, Vice President of Sales for Distribution and OEM Channels, Knape & Vogt, joins the Board with over 30 years of experience in the wood industry. He began his career as a cabinetmaker and served as president of a family-owned cabinet manufacturing business. He later served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hettich America. Dan joined Knape & Vogt in 2002 where he is Vice President of Sales for Distribution and OEM channels. He is active in several other organizations including North American Building Materials Distributor Association (NBMDA) and Kitchen Cabinet Makers Association (KCMA).
In addition to welcoming Dan, Jim Irving, General Manager, Drawer Box Specialties, joins the AWFS® Board with more than 35 years of experience in the wood products industry. He started his career in the late 1970s, building waterbeds in the Southern California area. In the nearly four decades since then, he has been involved in the manufacture and sale of products supporting the wood products industry. He enjoyed nine years working at Lilly Industries as their Western Regional Operations Director, directing the sale and manufacturing of wood coatings. He also spent nine years with Sherwin Williams Chemical Coatings division as their Facility Sales Manager. Jim joined Drawer Box Specialties (DBS) in 2012 as their National Sales Manager and was promoted to General Manager at DBS, a States Industries Company, in 2014.
