AWFS® Suppliers’ Edge Newsletter, Spring 2020
As everyone should be aware by now, California was the first state to require that all non-essential businesses temporarily close their doors, in order to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and allowing medical facilities enough time to prepare for a potential influx of patients needing a higher degree of medical care. To this point, California has not had the enormous spike in cases that had been initially forecasted as social distancing has proven to work thus far. Like all of you, we certainly hope that life will begin to normalize soon as we continue to see a decrease in the overall number of new Covid-19 infections.
For nearly a month now, AWFS® staff members have been working remotely and will continue to do so until we are instructed to do otherwise. Please be aware that our staff members may be reached via email or voicemail during this time and will all do very our best to get back to you in a timely manner.
In the meantime, we will continue to follow the developments on the legislative front and will be notifying our members whenever there is a new development that we believe will be of interest to your organization, and/or your customers. AWFS® will offer updates as new information becomes available which may be found in the ‘Round-up’ section of AWFS.org .
We encourage any of you that may have any information on the current crisis that you would like to share, whether it impacts the industry as a whole or is specific to your organization, to email Kim Roehricht at Kim@awfs.org. Any update that we believe will benefit our members and the industry may then be posted to the ‘Round-up’ section of the association website.
The entire staff and I want to extend all of our members and their families, peace and good health in this time of uncertainty. At AWFS®, we know how blessed we are to be involved in an industry that is filled with so many good people, many of which we consider long-time friends. We wish the best for all of you and know we will always use these crises as an opportunity to work together in order to overcome any circumstance, and keep this industry strong for each and every one of us as well as our families and for future generations.
Sincerely,
Angelo Gangone
