The Outside Sales Representative will engage regularly with new and existing accounts in their territory to increase revenue and customer base. This position can operate from our California or Virginia warehouse. They will participate in projects related to sales growth, customer service, market research, product development, and internal reporting. The ideal candidate will be driven, consistent, eager to learn, and a team player. This role promotes autonomy and will provide an environment to foster the required skills. Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 1 –3 years' experience in a similar sales role.
  • Well versed in Microsoft 365 – specifically with Excel, Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Effective and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and strong planning and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, convert, and maintain new opportunities (within territory) through lead generation, cold-calling, market research, and sales visits.
  • Build relationships with current customers through regular sales calls and visits; oversee their needs by performing consistent customer service, forecasting and increasing their usage, providing quotes and price lists, and increasing existing sales.
  • Communicate with U.S. Futaba, Inc’s branch offices to ensure efficient account set-up and maintenance, order processing, timely shipments, and purchasing forecasts.
  • Participate in sales team meetings and collaborate on designing and executing marketing campaigns, new sales strategies, and implementing new sales channels.
  • Become familiar with U.S. Futaba, Inc’s general catalog of over 2,000 SKUs and effectively promote product and educate customers.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, new product opportunities, and competitor’s activity and offerings.
  • Represent U.S. Futaba, Inc. at industry trade shows and conferences, and customer events and meetings.

This position is responsible for coordinating the successful showing of trade show displays at several events throughout the year.  This person will also assist with shop/warehouse duties as needed when time permits.   Basic duties include but not limited to: Packing and unpacking of crates containing show display cabinets making changes or repairs as needed. Make cabinets and components as required. Organize tools, equipment and supplies needed for installation of the display cabinetry. These positions are located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings, Tenant Services Division, Carpentry Branch. The AOC seeks temporary wood crafters for the upcoming 118th Congressional Moves. Wood Crafters will begin November 2022 and terminate at the conclusion of the project.  Since office moves are scheduled 6 days a week, overtime may be required and will be mandatory. These positions are located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings, Tenant Services Division, Carpentry Branch. The AOC seeks temporary wood crafters for the upcoming 118th Congressional Moves. Wood Crafters will begin November 2022 and terminate at the conclusion of the project.  Since office moves are scheduled 6 days a week, overtime may be required and will be mandatory. THESE POSITIONS ARE TEMPORARY 118th CONGRESSIONAL MOVES The core hours will range from 5:00 A.M.  to  4:00 P.M. Wood Crafters will perform a wide range of carpentry projects in support of the House Office Buildings during the 118th Congressional moves. ***Journey Level Experience in the Wood Crafter or Carpentry Occupational Trade is required. Major Duties: The work may involve construction, alteration, repair or modification of items and structures (such as wood and metal stud wall framework, walls, moldings, wood flooring, suspended ceilings, dry wall, doors, door frames, finished paneling, windows, counter tops, interior and exterior trim) where accuracy, spacing and fit are essential to structural soundness and appearance. Selects, cuts, turns, shapes, joins, bonds, fits, assembles and decorates wooden materials and parts, using the full range of hand and power woodworking tools, machines and techniques to create superior and structurally reliable wood work which requires exact fitting and close weight, pressure and size tolerances to construct specialty furniture. In this Architectural Millwork position, you are a critical component of the final stage of production for our products. Responsibilities of a Millwork Finisher may include reading and interpreting shop drawings, prepping products for finish, i.e., sanding, masking off, scuffing, etc. Priming, mixing custom stain blends, finish painting, using numerous different finish products and lines. Experience/Requirements
  • Wood working Machine operation skills on a sliding table saw, multi spindle drill machines, dowel insertion machine, and case clamp machines is an asset.
  • Wood products manufacturer experience/background.
  • Able to work independently and part of a team.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a woodworker or table saw machine operator preferred.
Responsibilities/Duties
  • Examine Work Orders or patterns to determine equipment set-up.
  • Controlling Machines and Processes using control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate woodworking saws and machines.
  • Produce product with an emphasis on quality; inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Inspect and measure work pieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts, using rulers, squares or caliper.
  • Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine performance
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
