A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CABINET MAKER

As a woodworking professional in architectural millwork, you play a key role in creating products for our company. You study blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed and set up the correct woodworking machines to cut and shape parts. Using your fine craftsmanship, you carefully trim the joints using hand tools, planes, chisels, and wood files to ensure they fit snugly. You bring all components together using dowels, screws, clamps, or other devices to form a complete unit. To complete a project, you smooth surfaces with sandpaper and scrapers and install any needed hardware.

In addition, you inspect equipment and tools for wear and tear as well as report their condition to your supervisor. You maintain a high quality of craftsmanship at all times and keep up your productivity and performance levels to remain a reliable member of our team. Working with your hands is what you love to do, and this makes you a perfect cabinet maker!
