POSITION SUMMARY:
Working as part of a team of builders to fabricate tradeshow displays and other projects, working efficiently to meet project standards and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
40% – Effectively work with a team of builders to construct assigned projects from start to completion
20% – Learn, through in-house training, to accurately read drawings and make a cut-list 20%
20% – Successfully take coaching and direction to learn construction methods from Lead, Co-Lead, & Builder II
10% – Regulate material usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency on project
05% – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
05% – Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT = Shop with Noise & Power Tools
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to high levels of dust and particles. Noise levels may be higher than average due to multiple power tools being utilized at one time. Personal protection equipment is provided.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS = Better Be Used to Moving
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK = Great hours + Overtime
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 40 hours per week. This position is subject to mandatory overtime during peak seasons.

Some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE = Rocket Scientist Need Not Apply
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of relevant experience in cabinet-making, building, or woodworking, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
Preferred experience in the exhibit industry

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS = Other Skills are Cool
May require forklift certification and/or the ability to obtain such certification.
